WSET Level 2 Award in Beer

If you want to know more about beer, our WSET Beer Level 2 beer training course is for you. This course is an intermediate level intensive course and will leave you understanding how different ingredients and brewing methods affect the aroma, taste and quality of beer. After this training you will be able to confidently select, describe and taste beers.

What will you learn?

In our training, we delve into the raw materials and the brewing process of beer and how they affect the beer. You will also learn how to taste, describe and assess beer quality.

If you work with beer, you’ll be able to act as an expert for customers and colleagues alike. If you’re an enthusiast, you can find the right beer for every situation.

Content of the training

• The main ingredients of beer and their impact on the final product
• How the brewing method affects the style and quality of beer
• Beer storage and serving
• We will get to know more than 50 different beer styles and learn their typical characteristics

Implementation

28 hours of study

• 16 hours of face-to-face tuition (4 x 4 h)
• 11 hours of self-study
• 1 hour exam

The training will be held in English.

Price

Level 2 Award in Beer training price 590,44 € + VAT 25.5 % (741,00 €).

Exam

To pass the training, you must pass the final exam. The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, which you have 60 minutes to answer. The exams will be examined by WSET in London.

Preliminary requirements

There are no pre-requisites for this training. We recommend attending a level one training, especially if you do not have a lot of previous knowledge about beer.

Participants must be at least 18 years old to take part in the tasting part of the training. WSET Beer Level 2 does not include a tasting exam, so this level can be completed even if you cannot or do not want to taste beer.
